However, upon arriving, they realized that the furry convention was in fact a gathering of humans dressed in animal costumes. Soon, everyone was confused who was an authentic furry extraterrestrial, and who was dressed up as one.
One of the furry aliens attending the "Furry Convention" on Earth, who wishes to remain anonymous, expressed their initial confusion upon arriving at the event. "I was so excited to attend what I thought was a furry extraterrestrial convention, only to find myself surrounded by humans in animal costumes," the alien stated.

To add to their confusion, many of the human attendees were dressed in naked furry outfits, leading the furry aliens to believe that they had stumbled upon a rather unique mating ritual. In their own extraterrestrial cultures, the display of certain fur a sign of one's true identity and is reserved for intimate settings.
Despite this initial confusion, the furry aliens remained curious and open-minded, and even posed for photographs with some of the human attendees both wearing their clothes and without. When asked for comment, a spokesperson for the furry aliens stated, "We may not have understood everything that was going on, but we were still able to connect with humans and have a good time."
